These trips are designed to start in Moscow, normally on an ODD Thursday, to tie in with the ferry departure from Vladivostok every Tuesday.

However, the timetable is very flexible and trains run almost daily, on the following complicated schedule:

Train #2 'Rossiya' flagship train of Russian Railways departs Ulan Ude for Vladivostok mostly on even? dates, while the cheaper train #8 departs mostly on odd? dates.

Train #10 'Baikal' departs Moscow on EVEN dates - you board the train two days later from Yekaterinburg. This schedule is due to change from 10th June 2010.

The ferry 'Eastern Dream' departs from Vladivostok to Donghae / Sakaiminato every Tuesday evening.
