OUR SAY: This is a great trip to Mongolia during the summer months combining desert and open steppe as well as three Capital cities. Seriously consider a Lake Baikal stopover (Deal 2) as well as Mongolia.

Train travel is based on a standard four berth second class cabin. Upgrade to a two berth first class cabin is available on some routes and subject to availablity.
† Train #339/349 is a standard passenger service, operating an almost daily service, but arrives in Moscow at 04:11. It is possible to book the fast/firmenny(national) passenger service on train #1 'Rossiya' which passes Irkutsk on odd days. There is a supplement for this train as it is the flagship service of Russian Railways.
Deal B4 - Beijing to Moscow, stopping in Mongolia Irkutsk Ekaterinburg
2,299ITINERARY: This trip covers all the most popular stopover options along the route and nicely breaks up the train journeys with tours at each stop. Depart from Beijing once a week or more often in summer. Stop in Ulanbaatar for a tour of Hustai National Park (2 nights), Elstei Ger Lodge (1) and Ulanbaatar (1). Then on to Listvyanka village on the shore of Lake Baikal (2) and Irkutsk City (1). Stop again in Ekaterinburg (2) for City tour and day activity in Ural Mountains.
