Our Beijing to Beijing, or 'Circular Tours' are back by popular demand! These tours are aimed at all of you living in Asia who want to experience the Trans-Siberian journey, on even just Mongolia, but do not want to travel all the way to Moscow and 'Europe'.

Below you can find some sample itineraries to give an idea of the types of the trip we can help you arrange. For a company specialising in train travel, a lot of these custom trips have the option to include the return by plane. Nearly all these tours can be 'reversed' if the timetables suit.

Custom BB10 - Beijing - Ulanbaatar - Beijing

ITINERARY: Depart from Beijing on the overnight train to Ulanbaatar, book various optional tours in Mongolia, before returning to Beijing on the train.

PRICE: Standard Class from € 350

OUR SAY: The cheapest way to Mongolia and includes and option to visit the Gobi desert on the way out, or on the way back. Popular route, so book early in summer.

DATES: Trains run year round, but departs just once (or twice in summer) a week so you need to be flexible with dates. See below for exact schedule.

PRICE INCLUDES: Train ticket for two journeys for three nights for one night on train #23 and one night on train #24, respectively, info pack, assistance departing from Beijing, additional tours in Mongolia must be booked.

EXTRAS: Not included in the price are visa costs, accommodation and tours in Mongolia, food on train. Remember you will need a re-entry visa for China.

POSSIBLE START DATES

As this is a custom trip there is total flexibility with dates, stay in Mongolia for as long as your visa allows. Return travel must be booked before departure in most cases.

Train #23 departs Beijing on Tuesday (and Saturday in summer 2010)
Train #24 departs Ulanbaatar on Thursday (and Friday in summer 2010)

DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

-10   Arrive Beijing with accommodation options
-10   Depart Beijing train #23 at 07:45 (TUES / SAT*)
-10   Cross Gobi Desert and arrive Ulanbaatar at 13:20 with options for transfers, accommodation and tours.
-10   Depart Ulanbaatar train #24 at 08:05 (THURS/FRI)

PRICE NOTES
The standard price is per person, based on two people sharing. If you are a single traveller there will be a single supplement. If you are the third person on a tour you will pay a single supplement for hotel rooms, or if you specifically request a single room in hotels. Train travel is based on a standard four berth second class cabin. Upgrade to a two berth first class cabin is available on some routes and subject to availablity.
