- Train #1 (the Rossiya) is considered the best in Russia. A cheaper option is to take train #7 ex-Vladivostok.
- Train #1 departs mostly on even days, and train #7 mostly on odd days.
- Both trains allow for an additional stopover in Ulan-Ude where it arrives after 3 nights at 09:31.
- Vladivostok is most easily accessed by ferry or plane from Japan or by train from Beijing (via Harbin).

- WE RECOMMEND: This is a trip for those coming from Japan and who don’t mind missing Mongolia. Ulan-Ude and Kazan as well as Golden ring trips can be added to for the Ultimate Trans-Russia.
