You can travel on the direct train, make one stop along the way in Irkutsk at the half way point or make stops in both Ekaterinburg and Irkutsk. You also have options to add-in further stops including Kazan (on the way to Ekaterinburg) and Ulan-Ude (after stopping in Irkutsk). The true Trans-Siberian route direct across Russia! You will travel across seven time zones and 9,259km of track. You will stop 71 times for a total of 21 hrs (the maximum 30 minutes in Ekaterinburg and Irkutsk), but can't stray further than the platform!
