Beijing - Mongolia and Siberia - Beijing
For those of you based in Asia, or wish to travel further afield to Outer Mongolia whilst in China, we offer these trans-manchurian based trips which are designed to include some of our tours in Mongolia. You may also wish to travel further into Russian Siberia before returning to Beijing.
Beijing to Mongolia - back to Beijing
The Trans-Mongolian train including time in Mongolia before returning to Beijing on the train. Once a week service guaranteed year round, with two trains in each direction throughout the summer.
- TRIP NOTES: Services in Mongolia must be booked with us. Tickets for train #23 are in short supply!
- WE SUGGEST: We offer a range of set tours in Mongolia, but ask us about custom Mongolia trips if you have a good idea about what you wish to do there.
Beijing to Mongolia - fly back to Beijing
There are almost daily flights from Ulanbaatar to Beijing and so this option may be better than the BB10 above if you have unflexible holiday dates. You can also make this trip in reverse if you prefer.
- Same as the BB10 above, but returning to Beijing on either MIAT
or CAAC flights departing UB daily throughout
most of the year on an almost daily basis.
Beijing to Mongolia and Siberia - back to Beijing
If you don’t have enough time for the full trans-Siberian experience this will give you much of what makes a full trip worthwhile.
- WE SUGGEST: If you are still
short on time for the trip consider flying back to Beijing
from Irkutsk (the BB17 below). If you have the time make
the most of a trip to this part of the world by adding
in Ulan-Ude (page 16) between Mongolia and Irkutsk. This
trip can also be done in reverse, i.e. flying to Irkutsk
then taking the train to Mongolia and back to Beijing.

If you have even less time for the full trans-Siberian experience, this tour gives you more flexibility if you have unflexible holiday dates. You can also make this trip in reverse if you prefer.
