How much time you spend in Moscow and St. Petersburg is entirely up to you, but from experience we recommend to spend at least 3 days in Moscow and 4 days in St. Petersburg, you could stay much longer if budget is not an issue.

We offer a range of mid-range Hotels as well as a Hostel. All these hotels are centrally located, close to the Nevsky Prospect which is the main thouroughfare with shopping and main sites. The Moskovsky Station with trains to/from Moscow is at one end of Nevsky Prospect, while the Hermitage Art Gallery and 'Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood' in the middle and St Isaac's Cathedral at the other end along with expensive hotels such as the Astoria. You will spend a lot of your time wandering the streets of Nevsky Prospect and so to be staying so close by is ideal.

The Dostoevsky 3* Hotel is well located 200 metres from Nevsky prospect. It benefits from good design and modern facilities set in a historic environment. It is very close to the metro, there is an extensive and good breakfast as well as food mall and supermarkets on the lower floors. Each room has Internect, cable TV and a minibar.

Ibis Hotel typical room layout
The Ibis Hotel opened in 2008 and is an excellent location 500 metres from Moskovsky Station (Trains to/from Moscow) and close to Nevsky Prospekt (the main shopping avenue of the city).
All rooms have WiFi access and air-conditioning in a typical Ibis layout, with a clean but small bathroom. Staff are friendly and speak English.
Breakfast is very good and the restaurant / bar also receives good reviews. It is not right in the centre of town, but easy to walk and next to the train station so very convenient!

Twin Room at Nevsky Sky Hotel
The Nevsky Sky Hotel is a budget mini-hotel part of the Nevsky Group, which opened in 2008. It is classed as a 'mini-hotel' as it has only 7 double rooms with shared facilities and 8 double rooms en-suite and small public areas. Every room is equipped with TV, telephone, Internet access (including Wi-Fi).
It has a great central location just a few steps from Nevsky Prospekt and within five minutes' walk of the Hermitage and St. Isaac's Cathedral.
The rooms are simply designed, but are clean and comfortable and the public bathrooms are also well maintained. We advise you to book early.
A good choice of breakfast is available at the sister hotel Nevsky Grand, across the road.

City Tours
Our local partners in Moscow and St Petersburg have constructed a range of short tours. You should pre-book these tours with the rest of your itinerary to ensure availability of your guide and entrance tickets. Simply add the code of the tour onto your booking form. The 3 hour introductory tour is especially recommended.
The tour will generally be held on your first full day in the city (the day after your arrival day), depending on your schedule and opening hours. Your guide will normally travel with you from your accommodation, using public transport which is not included in the tour price. You will part ways at the end of the tour. Highly Recommended This tour will give you a great orientation of the City, so you'll know where to visit during the rest of your stay, but more importantly you will learn tha background to the City and it's history with some interesting tales and facts. The tour will normally start on the Nevsky Prospect, which dates back to the 18th-19th century and you'll have an impression of St. Petersburg as it was at the time of Peter the Great. You will visit the main cathedrals including Kazan Cathedral, the Church of Spilled Blood, the Catholic Cathedral of St. Catherine, the Lutheran Peter and Paul's Church and Armenian Church. You will also visit the famous Senate Square with the Bronze Horseman, which is considered to be the guardian of St. Petersburg and you'll learn about the buildings of Senate and Syonod as well as the Constitutional Court of Russia located in one of these buildings, as well as the unforgettable Isaac's Square with Isaac's Cathedral. You'll also learn about the Mariinskiy Palace and the monument to Nicholas I. Apart from the main sites, you'll walk around the Square of Three Gods and the square of Arts with the oldest hotel and theatres. You'll stand on the famous Anichkov's bridge and wander along Groboedov's channel (fomer Catherine's channel) where the 18th century masterpieces and where the 18th century elite lived. You'll go to Moika river embankment to look at Stroganoff Palace, Pushkin's last apartment and the cosy villas of Imperial Petersburg. You'll pass the Konyushennaya Square and then you'll reach the Palace Square which was the main square of the Russian Empire and a unique view of the Neva river and its banks with a majestic panorama of the oldest building in St Petersburg - the Peter and Paul's Fortress and from where the Spit of Vasilievsky Island lies. For those interested in Russian architecture and interior design the Yusupov Palace is not to be missed. It showcases architectural trends from the 18th through to the 20th centuries. The palace and surrounding estate dates back to the epoch of Peter the Great, who founded St. Petersburg. The palace and estate took nearly 200 years to acquire its present shape with contributions from the best architectural talent of the time: J.-B. Vallain de la Motte, A.M. Mikhailov 2nd, B. Simone, H. Monigetti, W. Kennel, A. Stepanov, A, Vaitens, and A. Beloborodov. The palace still serves as a Palace of Culture for educators. The palace's magnificent interior decorations, restored through the hard work of St. Petersburg's best restoration artists, welcome Russian and international fans of history, art, music and theatre.
