Moscow Airports

There are three International airports in Moscow, check to make sure you know which one you are flying from!

SVO - Sheremetievo-1 (Domestic) and Sheremetievo-2 (International) - аэропорт Шереметьево -1/ Шереметьево-2
DME - Domodedovo - аэропорт Домодедово
VNU - Vnukovo - аэропорт Внуково

Sheremetievo (or Sheremetyevo) Sheremetyevo Airport is the original and largest, it handles most international carriers and all Aeroflot flights. Domodedovo is a newer airport, easier to get to on the train shuttle, and becoming more popular with airlines such as BA, Germania and Siberian Air. Vnukovo is a smaller airport and handles more Russian based charter airlines as well as budget flights.

Transfers by Car

We can arrange a car transfer to or from any of the airports in advance. We will obviously need your confirmed flight details and a driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall at the airport, or arrange to meet you at your hotel for the transfer to the airport. Please include an airport transfer at the time of booking or else arrange a transfer to the airport with your guide whilst in Moscow.

Transfers by Train

Sheremetievo (Russian: Международный Аэропорт Шереметьево)
On June 10, 2008, a direct service from Savyolovsky Rail Terminal (Russian: Савёловский вокза́л, Savyolovsky vokzal), to a new rail terminal next to Sheremetyevo Terminal 2 was inaugurated. Journeys take 35 minutes, and tickets cost at least 250 roubles (350 roubles for first class). During peak times the train departs every 30 minutes.

Domodedovo – аэропорт Домодедово
There are half hourly train services from Moscow Paveletskiy train station (Павелецкий вокзал) to Domodedovo airport. Starting at approximately 7am and running until 10pm, the journey takes 40 minutes. In the summer there are extra services at 6am and 11pm. Prices are approximately 150 rubles for adults and 50 rubles for children.

Vnukovo – аэропорт Внуково
There are hourly services from Kievskiy train station (Киевский вокзал) to Vnukovo airport. The journey time takes just 35 minutes and train services start at 7am, until 9.20pm. Prices are approximately 90 rubles for adult and 30 rubles for children.
