The Mongolian Embassy has done a deal with the Americans - their citizens no longer need a visa for travel to Mongolia for up to 90 days. This adds to the list of visa free countries, including Israel, Malyasia, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, The Phillipines.13-4-2001:New Russian visa procedure!
The new Russian visas are a sticker in your passport! This will make the application process a lot more difficult and force many uninformed travellers to spend a long time in Beijing in order to sort out all the necessary visas.28-3-2001:
New departure day for train #23 now fixed!The decision has been made. Train #23 will leave for the last Saturday departure on the 19th of May 2001. The first Tuesday departure is on the 22nd of May 2001. All new packages are updated on this site.

Russian Railways increases prices!Prices are going up for local Russian trains. Some report increases with 20 to 30%. More information or details are not available yet. For sure, our prices will have to go up starting the 1st of May 2001. No, we ain't happy with this either :-((

Pffffth!! What a job! Got all the info updated, added plenty of new pictures, and changed the format of this site. Double sized pages, so less download time and a better overview. There is still a lot of room for improvement, but this will take another program. I'll need time to learn, and time to rewrite this site.
