Celebrating 20 Years of Monkey Trans-Siberian Trips!
To celebrate our 20th Anniversary we have looked at our most popular trips over the last few years, combined these with some of the best we have to offer for 2008 and come up with a range of set itineraries, with some very special prices to help everyone celebrate our Anniversary Year.
About Us
We specialise in trans-siberian tours through Russia and Mongolia. Start your trans-siberian trip in Beijing, Mongolia, Vladivostok, Moscow or St Petersburg and travel in any direction on the Trans-Siberian Train! We also offer the 'real' Trans-Siberian route from Moscow or Vladivostok, as well as the Trans Mongolian and Trans Manchurian Train routes.
Ideas for 2008
As
well as the Trans-Siberian stopover stalwarts of the Mongolian Steppe,
Irkutsk and Ekaterinburg it is well worth considering the following, less
visited but no less rewarding options:
- Gobi desert trips by either jeep or camel.
- Buryat culture in Ulan-Ude where Siberian and Mongolian cultures meet.
- Trips on Lake Baikal's Olkhon Island - perhaps the best place to appreciate the lake.
- Kazan, the capital of Tartarstan where European Russia meets Central Asia.
- Camping in Tavolgi - spend a few nights in the Ural countryside outside Ekaterinburg.
- Golden Ring options of Suzdal and Velikiy Novgorod between Moscow and St Petersburg.
- Have a look at our 20th Anniversary Special Trips.
Just looking around?
We hope you find the answers and inspiration
to plan your next adventure!
Explore the depths of the Monkeyshrine to find valuable information on many aspects of the trans-siberian route, most of it not available in guide books, which is the blood and sweat of 20 years of our expertise. And join us in our 20th Anniversary year on the trans-siberian train this summer.
May the Monkey be with you on all your happy travels, Hare, Hare!
André and Patrick,
The Monkey brothers.
